Wire-to-structure clamp is used for grounding metal structures such as poles or power substations, which connects a wire conductor with a bolt and nut connection .
This type of clamp is produced by casting a copper-based alloy (CZ112), which is the best material for this purpose in terms of mechanical strength, anti-corrosion and electrical properties.
The connecting bolt of this clamp is generally galvanized steel, which prevents galvanic corrosion at the connection points to metal structures.
To install this clamp, determine the installation location by creating a suitable hole for the screw to pass on the structure or by welding a log with a hole on the structure, and remove any non-metallic coating on the structure with a sandpaper (such as paint , ….) Then close the bolt and nut in the created hole and make sure of the strength of the connection with a 16 newton meter torque .
In order to have a longer life and not to cause corrosion at the connection point, protective covers can be used after installation.
